About Us
We are Moni & PoL, a wedding photographer and videographer studio based in Europe and traveling the world. We work with couples who care more about how their wedding feels than how it looks. People who value honesty over perfection, emotion over poses, and who want their story told in a personal, meaningful way.
For us, every wedding is a new beginning — a project created from scratch, a new story, a new excitement. That’s why we only take on around 10 weddings each year, choosing quality over quantity and giving each film and photograph the time and care it truly deserves.
Beyond weddings, we develop independent documentary and artistic projects shown in galleries and film festivals. We also inspire and educate the next generation of photographers and videographers.

DO SUPER 8 FILMS RECORD SOUND?
Most Super 8 cameras do not capture usable sync sound. Audio is typically recorded separately using professional digital equipment. It is precisely because it has no sound that we mix different formats to generate an intense emotional journey, not just an aesthetic one.
DO YOU OFFER BOTH PHOTO AND VIDEO SERVICES?
Yes, we operate as a cohesive photo and video studio. This allows us to maintain a unified aesthetic across both mediums, ensuring that the film photography and Super 8 motion capture are synchronized in light, color, and composition. Working as a single team minimizes equipment presence and ensures a seamless experience for the couple.
CAN BE SUPER 8 BE COMBINED WITH DIGITAL
Yes, that’s exactly what we do. Wedding videos shot entirely on Super 8 film have the problem that they’re ultimately just music videos, lacking any of the vows or speeches. While they have that nostalgic feel, they don’t have the emotional or narrative power of a well-constructed video using digital technology. This is because Super 8 cartridges only record three minutes, which doesn’t allow for capturing complete scenes due to the camera’s own noise, which can be quite intrusive. That’s why we make hybrid videos.
DOES SUPER 8 WORK IN LOW LIGHT?
Super 8 performs best in natural or well-balanced light. Kodak VISION films are usually ISO 50, 200, and 500. This is sufficient for all daytime situations and some indoors. Its limitations encourage creative adaptation rather than artificial lighting setups.
WHAT CAMERAS DO YOU USE?
Mostly I used my Canon 310XL, but I have a Minolta XL601 and Minolta XL42. The 310 is really small and ideal to go unnoticed.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
95% of the weddings we do are abroad. We generally work on local weddings in London and the rest of the UK. We also do destination weddings for people from the UK or USA in Southern Europe. Places like Barcelona, the Costa del Sol, Puglia, Tuscany, French Provence, and Santorini are frequent destinations. We’ve done weddings in Mexico, New York, and Los Angeles. We feel fortunate to work all over the world.
