NYC Film Wedding Photographer
New York weddings carry a particular energy — celebrations that move between historic hotels, downtown rooftops, and the rhythm of the city itself. As film wedding photographers working in New York City, we document these moments with a documentary approach, using 35mm and medium format film to create images with texture, depth, and a timeless character.
Our aim is to create photographs where people feel truly seen as they are. Rather than reproducing familiar images of romantic validation, we focus on moments where everything feels alive and real — gestures, imperfections, and the subtle dynamics between people that give a wedding its true atmosphere.

Documentary Style Wedding Photography In New York
As a film wedding photographer in New York, our work is rooted in a documentary way of seeing. A wedding is not a sequence of perfect scenes but a living environment where emotion, movement, and unpredictability coexist. We are drawn to what could be called the perfect imperfect — the small gestures and fleeting moments that reveal the real humanity of the day.
Weddings carry a certain entropy. People arrive with their own histories, relationships overlap, plans shift, light changes, emotions surface. Rather than controlling this chaos, we move within it, paying attention to what is happening beneath the obvious and allowing images to emerge from the rhythm of the celebration.
Working with 35mm and medium format film reinforces this approach. Film slows the process and encourages observation, helping us create photographs that feel alive, textured, and connected to the atmosphere of the moment.
Within this documentary flow there is also space, occasionally, for an editorial style photo. When the light, the clothing, and the energy align, we may briefly step aside to create a portrait that feels cinematic while still belonging to the reality of the day.

“We were both crying looking at it all! so many pictures that we felt really encapsulate us as a couple and it’s exactly how we wanted to be represented. We had high expectations for you guys already because we loved your work, but it was all even better than we could’ve imagined“.

35mm Film Wedding At Dumbo Loft, Brooklyn.
Originally built in 1891 and later renovated, The Dumbo Loft is a versatile venue well suited for weddings, with high ceilings, hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, and wooden columns. Large windows overlook the historic streets of DUMBO and the arches of the Manhattan Bridge, while nearby Brooklyn Bridge Park offers a beautiful setting for outdoor ceremonies and portraits.

“We absolutely love them! I can’t stop scrolling through the photos, and I must have seen the video 10 times already. It’s all so great and is everything we were hoping for. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! We feel so lucky to have had you two film our wedding. Thanks again for all the awesome work. And Happy New Year!!! Love“.

35 MM Film Wedding Photographer NYC
35mm film allows us to move instinctively with the rhythm of a New York wedding day, working with different cameras — from manual systems such as the Canon A-1 to compact point-and-shoot cameras — depending on the moment. A range of film stocks, including Kodak Portra and CineStill, are chosen according to light and location, responding to the particular New York light and its distinctive urban palette, while introducing natural variations in texture, colour, and atmosphere as the day unfolds.

About Us
Our approach to weddings is shaped by a broader photographic practice developed beyond the wedding industry. Alongside documenting celebrations, our work has been exhibited in galleries, published internationally and presented through talks and conferences focused on documentary photography and visual storytelling.
This ongoing personal and editorial work continues to influence how we photograph weddings — approaching them less as staged events and more as lived experiences, where people, relationships and atmosphere remain central to the images produced.
F.A.Q
DO YOU TRAVEL TO NEW YORK FOR WEDDINGS?
Yes. Although we are based in Europe, travelling for weddings is a normal part of our work and we regularly document celebrations in different countries. We take care of the travel planning and logistics so the process remains simple and smooth for the couple, making it easy to work together even when the wedding takes place in New York.
ARE TRAVEL COSTS INCLUDED WHEN BOOKING YOU?
Travel to NYC is planned as part of the booking process and confirmed in advance. Any travel or accommodation requirements are discussed transparently before confirmation so there are no unexpected costs. Anyway we will make it easy for you.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY APPROACH?
Our work follows a documentary approach, observing events as they naturally unfold rather than directing or staging moments. Guidance is minimal so people remain comfortable and recognisable within the photographs.
WE HAVE CAMERA ANXIETY, DON´T LIKE TO POSE
Most of the couples feel this way. We work hard on building a connection to become invisible, creating an intimate environment where you feel relaxed rather than creating tension. There are only two of us working, and our team is kept to a minimum to be as unobtrusive as possible. This is highly valued by our couples.
HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS DO YOU DELIVER?
The final number varies depending on coverage length and the structure of the wedding day, with edited images selected to represent the full narrative rather than every frame captured. But at least 500 photographs.
DO YOU WORK FILM ONLY, OR ALSO DIGITAL?
Our approach combines digital photography with 35mm and medium format film. Some couples prefer a hybrid approach, while others choose to document the entire wedding primarily on film.
DO YOU SHOOT SUPER 8 WEDDING FLIMS?
Yes, in fact Pol is the super 8 wedding videographer New York City. Film wedding photography and super 8 are such a powerful emotional narrative.
HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
People often describe our work as vibrant, honest, emotional, and authentic. Shooting on film adds texture and depth, and we keep editing minimal so the images feel natural rather than overly polished.
For that reason, our work often resonates with people connected to film, design, architecture, music, or the arts, people who care about atmosphere, light, and visual culture.
Many of the weddings we photograph lean toward what’s often described as quiet luxury: thoughtful spaces, beautiful materials, and a sense of elegance that doesn’t need to announce itself. Film tends to sit naturally in that world.
