Wedding Videographer Barcelona
Barcelona is a city where weddings unfold between historic streets, Mediterranean light, and late-night celebrations. As a wedding videographer in Barcelona, our work follows a documentary approach, filming the day as it naturally unfolds across the city and surrounding areas such as Sitges, the Maresme coast, Empordà masias, or the landscapes of Montseny. Our films are primarily captured digitally, with the option of incorporating formats such as Super 8 or VHS to introduce texture and a more tactile sense of memory to the images.

Documentary Wedding Videography
Our approach to wedding videography in Barcelona is rooted in documentary filmmaking. Rather than directing scenes or staging moments, we observe the day as it unfolds — the movement of people through the venue, the conversations between guests, and the quiet transitions that shape the rhythm of the celebration. This way of filming allows the wedding film to reflect the real atmosphere of the day rather than a constructed narrative.

A Destination Wedding In Mas Casamitjana, Barcelona
Set on the edge of a valley overlooking the rolling Catalan hills and with the foothills of the Pyrenees in the distance, the centuries-old ‘Mas Casamitjana’ aka This Must Be The Place enjoys a stunning location near the charming town of Moià, and boasts some of the prettiest sunsets you’ll ever see. Lovingly restored in a modern rustic style – if you are looking for a beautiful and unique wedding venue near Barcelona with bags of individuality, fun and flair, then look no further.

“Their hearts are so big and sincere, they care so much about your day as family would and instantly feel like they are a part of your journey. They are so deeply invested in your personal story and capture the moments that traditional wedding photographers could never and turn it into the most memorable story. ”.

Destination Wedding In Ibiza
“Darling Monica and Pol, we have finally re surfaced after the most incredible weekend. Dom and I wanted to say a huge thank you to you both for being a HUGE part of our wedding celebrations. We haven’t seen your footage yet however we already know it’s going to be incredible. Your presence over the weekend felt like you were our friends and guests. We can’t wait to see what you captured.
Congratulations to you both again on your wedding too. Sending huge love from one set of newlyweds to another “.

A Cinematic Style
Our films take shape in the edit, where vows, speeches, and fragments of real conversations often become the emotional thread guiding the story. The visual language leans toward an independent cinematic aesthetic, closer to the texture and atmosphere of 16mm filmmaking than to polished commercial video.
Each film grows from the energy of the day and the personalities involved, allowing moments and characters to emerge naturally rather than being reduced to staged poses or clichés.

Super 8 Wedding films
Alongside digital filmmaking, couples can choose to incorporate formats such as Super 8 or VHS. These analog formats introduce grain, texture, and a looser visual character that recalls the feeling of home videos — images that carry a nostalgic beauty and often trigger a strong emotional response. Used selectively within the film, they add a sense of memory and atmosphere while remaining integrated within the documentary style.
About Us
We’re Mónica and Pol — The Richters — a Barcelona wedding photographer and filmmaker duo working between documentary, film and art. For over 15 years we’ve been telling stories with an honest, emotional and deeply personal gaze, drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that often go unnoticed.
We take on only 10 weddings each season to keep things close and meaningful. Beyond weddings, we create personal projects that have received international recognition, with our work featured in Vogue and exhibited around the world. Storytelling, for us, is always something real.

F.A.Q
DO YOU WORK AS A WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER IN BARCELONA ONLY, OR ALSO NEARBY AREAS?
Yes. We film weddings across the Barcelona region and throughout Catalonia, including areas such as Sitges, the Maresme coast, Empordà, and the landscapes around Montseny. Many celebrations take place outside the city, and a documentary approach adapts naturally to both urban weddings and countryside venues.
DO YOU ALSO OFFER SUPER 8 WEDDING FILMS?
Yes. Alongside digital filmmaking, couples can choose to incorporate Super 8. This analog format introduces grain, texture, and a nostalgic visual character that adds depth and emotional atmosphere to the film.
CAN BE BOOK VIDEOGRAPHY AND PHOTOGRAPHY?
Yes. Our studio works with both photography and video. Most of the couples choose to combine both services so the visual language remains consistent throughout the documentation of the wedding day.
HOW MANY HOURS OF COVERAGE?
We don’t work by the hour, but by the story. We understand that documenting takes time and that not all weddings express emotions and energy in the same way. We stay until we feel everything has been properly captured. Because we truly mingle with the guests and enjoy your experience as if we were one of them, it’s a real pleasure to be there. In any case, we’re there for 10-12 hours.
HOW LONG IS A WEDDING FILM?
Each film is edited individually depending on the story and rhythm of the day. Trailer option is a 4-5 min video. Full option is an at least 12min video with a short teaser (1 to 3min).
