We’re Mónica and Pol — The Richters — a photographer and filmmaker duo working between documentary, film and art. For over 15 years we’ve been telling stories with an honest, emotional and deeply personal gaze, drawn to the quiet, intimate moments that often go unnoticed.
We take on only 10 weddings each season to keep things close and meaningful. Beyond weddings, we create personal projects that have received international recognition, with our work featured in Vogue and exhibited around the world. Storytelling, for us, is always something real.

DO YOU RECORDS SOUND WITH SUPER 8 WEDDING FILMS?
Super 8 itself captures image only, so we combine it with discreet digital audio recording when needed. This allows vows, speeches and meaningful moments to become part of the film rather than creating only a music-led edit.
CAN BE SUPER 8 BE BOOKED TOGETHER WITH PHOTOGRAPHY?
Yes. Super 8 is often commissioned alongside photography, allowing still images and motion to develop from the same documentary approach and creating a cohesive visual record of the day.
YOU ARE NOT BASED IN NYC; IS THAT A PROBLEM?
Not at all. Travelling for weddings is a normal part of our work, and working in New York City is never a problem. We organise our own travel and logistics in advance so that everything runs smoothly, allowing the coverage to integrate naturally into the wedding day without creating additional concerns for the couple.
HOW MANY HOURS OF COVERAGE?
We don’t work by the hour, but by the story. We understand that documenting takes time and that not all weddings express emotions and energy in the same way. We stay until we feel everything has been properly captured. Because we truly mingle with the guests and enjoy your experience as if we were one of them, it’s a real pleasure to be there. In any case, we’re there for 10-12 hours.
HOW TO BOOK YOU?
Our work is based on connection; it’s the only way to capture those moments that feel so alive and real. First, we’ll talk, and you can tell us about yourselves and your wedding. Then, when we decide to move forward together, we’ll sign a contract and you’ll make a deposit. And that’s it!
